The Power of the Pelvis

Your pelvis is your powerhouse. Whether walking, dancing or simply sitting down, your pelvis is an integral part of how you move. It is both your base of support and the initiator of movement.
When the pelvis travels gracefully through space, it carries the rest of you along. But when there is tension, pain or inactivity, many of us lose mobility and strength not only in our pelvis but also in our core, low back and hips.
In this workshop participants will learn simple Feldenkrais lessons that integrate movements of the pelvis with the hips and spine to decrease muscular tension, increase flexibility, and find grace in everyday activities.
In this guided Feldenkrais workshop you will learn how to:
• Integrate movements of the pelvis with hips and spine
• Engage core strength
• Explore the synergy between the pelvic floor and the muscles of the abdomen and low back
• Decrease tension and increase fluid movement
• Find ease in sitting, standing and walking
