“Without your functional integration work on me, it would have been difficult to do the activities I love … like alpine skiing, tennis, x-country skiing and golf. We need more people like you out there to spread the good news of new methods of effective physical therapy.” – H.M. Stephenson, MD, FRCP (C)
About our Awareness Through Movement® Teachers:
Marion Harris, founder and director of the Feldenkrais® Centre in Toronto, is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner®, a Certified Bones for Life® Trainer/Teacher and an authorized Sounder Sleep System® teacher.
One of the few practitioners to have trained directly with founder, Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, Marion is nationally recognized and respected in Feldenkrais Method instruction.
Combining her warm, dynamic presence with her three plus decades of teaching experience (including 12 years as a yoga instructor), Marion coaxes the best from her students–helping them reduce muscular stress, recognize and change damaging or inefficient movement habits, and increase strength, flexibility and vitality–both in body and mind.
Marion says continued practice and teaching of the Feldenkrais Method make her appreciate its genius, and deepens her commitment to make Feldenkrais accessible to everyone.

Aarti was first introduced to the Feldenkrais Method after breaking her back in a serious tobogganing accident when she was a teenager. After experiencing first-hand its remarkable benefits in her own recovery, she became fascinated by the scientific and philosophical basis of Moshe’s Feldenkrais work. She trained for 4 years at the Institute for Studies in Somatic Education in San Francisco, studying under partitioners who had worked directly with Moshe Feldenkrais.
Her career has also included helping found an Arts and Sciences university, working in the environmental non-profit sector, and freelancing in writing and new media. Aarti draws often from her professional knowledge of education pedagogy when she teaches movement one-on-one or in groups. In addition to building a thriving private practice, Aarti recently returned to school to study science to deepen her knowledge of the human body.
